Bleu Yeux Poem by Cherie Mort

Bleu Yeux

Mon cher
Bleu yeux
The one whose ghost invades my slumber, if only for a moment, to embrace me,
Hold me close in his arms
Why do I feel such a magnetic pull to you?
You don't even like me
Am I wasting every day that I spend thinking of you,
Every morning that I spend staring at my wet face in the mirror,
Dripping with water and salt?
I want to drown in those eyes of yours
Feel the air escaping my lungs,
The desperation and fear of disappearing,
The wild thrashings of my heart as its flame finally extinguishes in beautiful agony
You make me want to do this to myself
You make me want to haunt the rivers dripping from your eyes
Like La Llorona
Hold me once more before I slip under the waves
And envelop myself with the tide
So I don't have to tell you
I
Love
You
So
Much
It
Hurts
