Blind Poem by Juan Olivarez

Blind

Rating: 5.0

You can see with your eyes,
And still be blind.
If your'e chained to lies,
In the back of your mind.

You can say that you love,
And your heart be cold.
Like hail from above,
With those thoughts you hold.

You can feel my pain,
But do you care.
It just seems like disdain,
That you want to share.

You can see with your eyes,
And still be blind.
Till you break the chains,
That bind your mind.

Excellent, my friend. A good message that all should read. I really enjoyed your poem on being blind and I certainly am at times. Thanks for waking me up. Lynn
