Blind Man Poem by Dennis Go

Blind Man

Let a blind man stand in my way,
I'll ask for his hand to guide my path.
The blind can't see the light of the day
But salvation of his soul won't leave me astray.
As for me, I'm blinded by mortality.
Only bits of hatred blocking my heart.
This world where I'm cast and thrown away
With my feelings inside deeply torn apart.

Let the blind man ease my pain.
He'd never felt the way I do.
All his life he's living for a reason;
Unlike me, life's of no use.
Disabled you are, but truly you're prosperous.
Darkness in the eye but light's up ahead.
Living as a righteous man for so many seasons
Unlike me who's better off dead.
