Blinded Poem by Forever Underestimated

Blinded

Rating: 4.0

Where am I?
I'm lost
Who am I?
I'm not sure
Where's the light?
I can't find the switch
I can't see what's in front
Of me
It's killing me
What's that sound?
It's following me
A memory
A tragedy
But what?
I don't know
Who's there?
I can hear you
Your heartbeat
Racing against time
The sound of tears
Falling against concrete
But I can't see them
Only guess
The shadows
Are overpowering me
I'm drowning
Rescue me
Please
But will you?
Who are you?
I'm scared
Alone
I'm fooling myself
Trying to forget
Forcing myself
Into hate
But I can't
I'm lying
Hiding
When will you see it?
I still can't find the lightswitch
I said it was over there
It's not
We're lost
Blinded
Hold on
I think I found it
No
Drat
Are we there yet?
No
Shut up

I enjoyed the humor in this one. A unique way to look at finding your way through a relationship. Well done. Spiritsong
