Body Poem by Aisha Love

Body

Rating: 4.5

Tears...
silent prayers that
the heart sends.
Prayers that the mouth is too
weak to say.
Mind...
tells the heart sinful thoughts
unaware of the pain it causes.
Soul...
wants to defend the heart
but is told to do nothing.
Self...
walks around unaware
of the internal conflict.
Like a zombie
revived but still uncomplete.
Hands...
intended for beauty yet
causes most destruction.
Causes the self more pain
than peace.
Poem...
written description for suicide
or beauty through a person's eyes.

This is a well constructed poem. The repetition of a word, followed by its definition gives the reader a framework to hang on to. Your subject is a vexed one and your response to it a mature and optimistic I believe. Your name seems perfect for your compassionate nature. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
