‘Boredom’, have you ever felt it?
Where you stand and sit
But all you think of is sleep?
The jabbering and yapping goes on,
But your attention is long gone.
‘Boredom’, when the boring induces it
And their doing makes you want to sleep.
Scratched discs repeating the same tune
Whilst you pray that it would end soon.
‘Boredom’, have you experienced it,
When stronger than lullabies, they make you sleep?
Every cell in your body thinks the same thing:
And eyes go on a bout of winking,
Mouths flap with strained yawning,
You feel as sleepy as early morning.
‘Boredom’, have you ever experienced it,
When the boring makes you want to sleep?
