Break Silence Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

We failed to break silence
No one thought it can ever happen at once
It did take place and exposed bitternace
We were not looking at each and hiding face

She never argued at any point in past
This development took all of sudden and very fast
She was considered calm and cool
But I witnessed her to be forceful

All the time she was letting me off easily
As I thought over it and concluded readily
One must read human mind thoroughly
If failed in it then it shall be called simple folly

She may be right in her attitude
Every time male donation is considered to be rude
No one must underestimate her female partner
As she may not all the times surrender?

I was little arrogant and showed disrespect
She took it by heart and considered as hostile act
No one offers such behavior to better half
This was not a matter to be taken lightly and laugh it off

I realized at the same moment
That my act was fit to resent
Only it needed some initiate from my side
I must take her into confidence by surprise

I knew she will cool down like ice
Little love gesture was enough reason to suffice
I was sure she will not thrust more to spoil the relation
I could see the pain on her and that gave me enough of indication

"Bed tea for you" I woke her up in the morning
She was fast asleep and snoring
I was apologetic and showed it on face
She was little hesitant but believed in no more chase

I took her hand and promised no recurrence
It had taken all of sudden and by chance
She conceded to my point and relented
We were same again and consented
