Breaking Bread Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Breaking Bread

Monolith of attention
Egotist of order
The prim proper artist
Do you see the bleeding?
Do you see the heartache?
Dark men in sheep's clothing
Sow the sweet light
Grace has its own paths
Walk by the rivers of charity
Goodness consolidates

She has a soul tender as starlight
Leave the thorns and touch the real
The evil use tricks
Hide in poetic cloaks
Act like teachers
The fake love mirrors
Sigh with lilies of field
True wisdom has humility
Beauty is regal meekness
She wipes his feet with her long hair

Break your bread with love
