Breathe A Breath Of Pervading Nature Poem by Terence George Craddock

Breathe A Breath Of Pervading Nature

Rating: 5.0

there was a time
I watched rose blooms
early morning still stir
upon first breath breezes

in morning waking
to slow swing
sway later upon morning
stirring rising wind

in golden shifting rays
of summer light
I watched clouds

dance across
blue hue sky
bees butterflies

took busy flight
among my grandmother's
extensive garden paradise flowers
while native birds

visited sang summer songs
in tall fence boundary trees
sometimes small boy bare feet
could not withstand nature's

summer pulse beating song
swift ran across summer grass
effort attempting to outrace

the wind till heart bursting slowed stopped
lungs burning panting to breathe a breath
of pervading nature life cannot outrun
