Breathe softly at your last farewell
and I will take your hand -
together we will fly aloft
to that far distant land.

Breathe softly when the night-time calls
release all earthly care -
let go of all that binds your heart
and I will guide you there.

Breathe softly, softly, as you leave
in search of calmer seas -
take heed, take heed of freedom's call
all heartache to appease.

Breathe softly as you close your eyes
allow your soul to soar
beyond the boundaries of time
set free forever more.
