By all accounts Brian Burke is a tainted man
With a criminal record he has spent a span
Of time in jail for corruption and fraud
Not the type of person that people ought to laud.

Though in Western Australia his is quite a well known face
The ex President and Ambassador has fallen from grace
State and Federal Ministers who have attended dinners he has been at have been forced to resign
By leaders trying to prove to the voting public the other party is not as clean as mine.

Brian Burke may be far from honest and a bit of a cad
But most Politicians referred to as honorable as him just as bad
To discredit their opposition they sling mud and mud often does cling
The great lust for power is a terrible thing.

Brian Burke the tainted ex Politician the power broking Politicians claim to disown
Though far more tainted politicians than him have been known
There's more than a grain of truth in the saying it does seem to me
Of we dislike in others in what our own selves we see.
