Brightly Fading Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Brightly Fading

Falling stars, so many hearts
Where does thy light belong
Never leave the darkest night
Where sunshine should belong

Flowers frail with nature's love
Bring back the best of years
Springtime happiness after rain
Was created from life's tears

Once, fairy tales of long ago
Enriched our childhood mind
Sprinkled with a candied dream
Would help the teardrops dry

The joys of life have mapped a trail
Leading to our aging eyes
Wrinkles formed from lifetime smiles
Will tell the stories left behind

Against the winds of life's long trial
Is the dream of hopes, divine
A fallen star will be remembered
Until the memory fades with time
