Bring Me Vapours Of Heaven Poem by Naveed Akram

Bring Me Vapours Of Heaven

Bring me the cup of life and elections,
Like a revolving door in light of moon under stars.
You could name the angles of my surprise,
Sweetness has many dimensions, of the sword it hurts.
Bring me the cup of lovely white,
Golden edges of beautiful belonging,
Like diamonds of pristine design, colder
Than your question.

If wine did not ventilate, we are all hearts of steam
And vapours of the heavens,
Of earth is a striding chivalrous knight;
His iron helmet prolongs the sadness
Of a tragedy.
Do not mix shoulders with a man of such iron,
Pointing to the brightly flashing junction
Connoted by a crime of crying men.
