Broken Poem by Kim Dang

Broken

Rating: 5.0

Upheaveled, each grain of dirt shifted
construction static attests for it
tears of rain, floods that linger vouches
black and white has been smashed into egnimatic gradients
forever changing this fragile mosaic
heavy sighs accompany crowded foreheads

constricted lungs, they're shameless.
holding it all back, letting it show enough.
Shameless.
Scattered effervescently these laughters
Alibis poorly dispensed like coke bottles
from broken machines

Empty bottles of spiked liquor these coke bottles
Bottoms up because she's been down there.
Shards of glass from the same bottles
How efficient!
How convenient.
Like buffalos to starving hunters
She'll use everything up. Skin, fur, bones, meat.
Because she has something in common with these creations.
She too - is broken.

careful of jaded/hackneyed phrases: shards of glass, for example. an original development - nonetheless. best care, sjg
