Broken Dreams Poem by Jennifer Sol

Broken Dreams

Rating: 5.0

Everywhere I turn
I see rain falling
And rivers of emotion
Rushing quickly,
Stirring up the sand,
On the riverbed.
My rays of sunshine
Can’t seem to penetrate
The dark storm clouds
Brewing on the horizon
The boulders
Turn to clay
As they are beaten
With torrential downpours
Of bad things
One right after the other
The leaves are falling
From the trees
Revealing the frail
And beaten
Skeletons of once lush beings
The stars seem to fall
From the sky
As dreams fade
And feelings are pushed aside
Broken shells line the beach
Like the broken dreams
Of my once happy friends

Hi Jen.. I picked those broken shells and creadted the design of my heart on the shores. Such beautiful was the sight that even the waves refused to reach them and just tickled away back to the ocean..... Cheers my dear!
