This poem is about one of my best friends who has struggled with this cruelty her entire life. Most of this is true from her past, although she has not killed herself she has often thought about it.....
Beaten, broken, crying tears
Wishing, wanting this to end
The pain, the fear of sixteen years
Beating down upon your head
At night you bleed
At night you cry
Wishing, wanting
Just to die
She screams and shouts
And calls you names
'Worthless, selfish'
You'll never be the same
Threats of suicide you make
She laughs and smiles
And throws you hard
Against the tiles
You're bleeding, bruised
But stand up strong
She glares and yells
But you stay strong
She laughs again
And walks away
Your strength is fading
You start to sway
You try to stumble
Through your door
So you can be in
Peace once more
You find your razor
Shining bright
And cut out tears
The pale moonlight
Tears of blood
Stream down your arm
Wanting peace
Without harm
Tomorrow dad will
Find you there
Asleep in blood
And matted hair
Today you will be
Laid to rest
A peace, a love...
That is the best

My heart goes out to your friend, this poem actually brought tears to my eyes. No-one should be driven to a life like that. Again your story writing through poetry is amazing, dont ever stop getting these sorts of messages across.
