The Irony Of Love Poem by An Angel Without Wings

The Irony Of Love

Rating: 5.0

A beautiful girl
Sits crying in her room
Drowning in lies
Apprehending her doom

She is so beautiful
But she will not see
She is my everything
She means so much to me

Each morning I rise
To see her sweet face
As the clock ticks on
I'll hurry my pace

I long to kiss her
And hold her in my arms
But I am so afraid
That I will do her harm

She is so fragile
So graceful and dark
Why won't she see
I'll mend her broken heart

I want to help her
I long with desperation
I have watched for so long
It now seems like obsession

There is this boy
Handsome and free
He is too high up
To ever notice me

I'm down in the dirt
Broken and scarred
He is high in the clouds
Where he is not barred

His face is so gorgeous
His smile is the best
He will never notice me
I'm not like the rest

But still I will rise
And I'll wait for the day
That fate takes a chance
Until then I'll have to pay

I torture myself
With this obsession
I just want his arms
To comfort my depression

I'm such a stupid girl
I sit crying in my room
Drowning in my lies
Apprehending my doom

He will never see
She will never see
How much he means to me
How much she means to me

I love him with all my heart
I love her with all my heart
But our love will never start
But our love will never start

I wish I could make him see
I wish I could make her see
He means the world to me
She means the world to me

I can't take anymore
I can't take anymore
My heart's being torn
My heart's being torn

So I'll bring out my knife
I will find a knife
And then take my life
And then take my life

'Can't you see I love you? '
'I love you! Can't you see? '
In your arms I will never be
In your arms I will never be

These two lovers
Were ment to be
They longed for each other
Too bad they couldn't see

OMG! This poem is similar like Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet on so many levels. Thanx. Happy Holidays!
