Broken Love - Poem by adelowo adejoke

I WALK DOWN THE LAKE AND GAZE AT
THE BEAUTIFUL MORNING THINKING OF YOU
I SLEPT DREAMING OF YOUR BEAUTY
I WAKE UP TO FIND YOU GONE
I SEARCHED FOR YOU BUT ALL HOPE WERE DASHED.
YOU LEFT MY WORLD CRUMBLED.
I REMEMBERED THE FIRST DAY WE MET
IT MARKS THE STARTING OF SOMETHING
I DON'T WANT TO REMEMBER YOUR MANLINESS
BUT I COULDN'T; I DON'T WANT TO HAVE MEMORIES OF YOU
BUT I BETRAY.
I DON'T WANT TO MISS YOU; BUT I DO MISS YOU.
MY TEARS FLOW FREELY WHEN I REMEMBER YOU
BUT YOU LEFT ME AND I FEEL GREAT BETRAYAL AND MISTRUST.
LIFE IS SUCH UNFAIR SO ARE YOU.
