broken on the shore
with your broken images-

I am still alive
reversals are carried by

the heart that can't
sustain them;

released like fireflies
into the sun,

messages are not conveyed

I am still alive
waves of light are deflected

waves of tears are not

still, these fragments shine

I am still alive

and my tears burn an

aperture through

these skies of endless steel
