Broken Paths Poem by Safiyyah Manjra

Broken Paths

Rating: 5.0

These jiggered roads.
Of mistrust coats.

You want me to give in,
To this regular feeling call pain.

Please do not sound so mundane.
I am not one to live in vain.

Mentioned the junctions of the path of love were doubt.
I have been single-handedly receiving the silent replies when I shout.

I am a strong individual.
That does not mean I should withstand when someone is being cruel.

There's enough to this deceit.
Enough that there's no time for a repeat.

There are lots of things I should understand.
There are also lots of things we should both comprehend.

One of them is goodbye.

Deep feelings well articulated and nicely brought forth in beautiful rhyme scheme from the heart. A passionate piece with strong emotions. Thanks for sharing, Safiyyah.
