Broken Pieces Poem by Lily Espinosa

Broken Pieces

Rating: 5.0

My broken heart
Can no longer stand what I drag it through.
I watched it fall from a height so great
Over and over again,
Shattering into a thousand pieces beneath me.
Frantically trying to mend the damage,
To capture what had been lost,
I crumbled.
No one was there to save me when you left,
In blind panic and frantic rush
I forced the pieces into places they didn’t belong,
Now I’m left twisted, contorted,
Sewn up wrong.
I’m unfixable,
Ashamed.

Hurtful.... I am sure this wasn; t easy to write, but in this stands the power of an artist! Very well written, I loved the great imagery! ~~Elya Thorn~~
