Ballerina With Fins

Brutal Love - Poem by Ballerina With Fins

Her hands were bound
to puppet strings
she couldn't run
she couldn't scream.

it was like one of those
dark fairy tales
grandma used to tell.

you wanted to protect me
from the hobyahs, only how much i
begged, they wouldn't take me,
for you
shut me in a box
and cast a spell on me,
a spell called
Love

which made me love you
and
loathe you forever
