Bucket Of Stars Poem by Walterrean Salley

Bucket Of Stars

Flung across the universe
To adorn the heavens,
Gleaming are the brightest stars
Each divinely given.
They brighten up the dark skies
And give the heart a thrill.
In every land and nation,
The eye beholds them still.
Although they are very far,
The finger cannot touch,
The heart reaches where they are-
There to caress as such.

A flurry of stars on high
To light the darkened sky.
