Burned - Poem by Rose Price
Burnt by her past
Scarred by its fears
These are the memories that she wears.
Heart burnt to ashes
From the fire it bears
Hollow is her soul,
Nothing but dark smoke lives there.
Hiding behind these scars
lives a girl who was fearless
yet somehow fearsome
But today she's burnt by her past.
However she tries to redeem
yet her scars seems spurn.
Her soul a dark smoke yet so frigid
Just keeps emanating
it's thoughts where she is nothing
But a girl with burns
born from her past
which she now believes
Will forever last.
