Burning Rain Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Burning Rain

Rain fire upon me so I may burn
Thy will has promised my soul
In light of day I will care not
When I read the lies you told

Remember this Oh God of gods
I can balance with thy pain
Was it not you who forgot the love
Created, then gave blame

I can pray to a god for what I want
Still to me, it's all the same
Gifts of promise, deliver me not
Except for burning flames

In Hell I know of your light and love
I am free, My freewill remains
Has thy love no forgiving heart
Or has thy love been always hate

Oh dear Lord, I wish, but this
Because I shall not beg
Fear is love, From Father not
Come hither for glory in thy name

Although my time is never more
Forever tormented in this sea of flame
Even though a god I'm not
I forgive you all the same
