Bus Ride Home Poem by Lost Sierra

Bus Ride Home

You climb aboard
for a trip home
A place where you are known.

A thirty-minuet ride home
You think to yourself
“If I sit here by myself
and leave everyone alone,
I'll be safe and able to walk home.”

Noisy kids and violent minds
How am I going to sit here when on one is kind?
