Butterfly Project Ƹ Ӝ Ʒ Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Butterfly Project Ƹ Ӝ Ʒ

When the pain is too much to bare,
and you supress the feelings burning in your heart,
marks will appear on your flesh.
You're not concious of this,
nor can you help it.
They will spread like wild fire,
and slowly fade over time.
Three will turn to four,
four will turn to ten,
soon you will no longer see fresh skin.
If any were to touch my wounds,
there would be only one.
If any were to kiss my pain,
there would be only one.
Who has caused the suffering,
rightfully is the one who can heal it.
But no matter.
Closest to your heart,
will heal just the same.
Love is the greatest emotion,
conquering all others.
In my skin the imprint will stay,
the ink I will never let fade.
You the butterfly,
will save my life.
