By Chance, I See A Feral Cat Poem by NHIEN NGUYEN MD

By chance, I see a feral cat.
With dark yellow brown hair, it appears to be an adult cat.
This cat creeps along my evergreen hedge
It creeps as if it is walking amidst unseen enemies.
I never saw this cat before
But two years ago, I saw another cat with similar color.
Is this cat a descendant of that cat?
Did the other cat die or move to another yard?
What a life of a feral cat!
No one knows what its future holds.

TÌNH CỜ THẤY MỘT MÈO HOANG


Tình cờ thấy một mèo hoang
Mèo này đã lớn, mầu vàng ngả nâu.
Mèo đi men gốc rào xanh
Mèo đi lấm lút như cần phòng thân.
Mèo này, chưa thấy bao giờ
Hai năm trước thấy mèo lông cùng mầu.
Mèo này con cháu cùng nhà?
Mèo kia đã chết hay là ở xa?
Cuộc đời một kiếp mèo hoang
Ai mà biết được ngày sau thế nào.
