By My Fitrah Far Removed I Am Poem by Mohammad Younus

By my fitrah¹ far removed I am,
From the clashing creeds and dogmas;
Ever since entered my heart my Lord's light,
I've never strayed in wild wilderness;
I seek Him nowhere save in His manifestation;
Only love and peace my heart's contemplation;
No more see I any difference between,
My true being and that of Lord's other children;
Ever since I perceived the existence of absolute unity,
I equally and unequivocally love all humanity,
Having different skin colour, ethnicity or race,
Speaking different languages and dialects, and,
Professing different religions and faiths;
I don't accept all those who teach duality and division;
I don't won't recognise false gods as my guardians;
I believe that divine reality is inseparable from myself;
I constantly meditate on divine music and light,
And contemplate on the secret whispered truths,
I don't borrow or pirate others views and ideas;
I seek my guidance mainly from the Eternal Truth,
That reveals to me knowledge and wisdom;
I understand that guidance and misguidance,
Both inherent in myself;
I believe I have myself to achieve my spiritual growth,
And not hope that others can do me any favour;
Realising that life is from the Ever-living,
I have forgotten the dread of birth and death;
By His command I am here! and
By His command I will be there!
