Cabin Poem by Barry Middleton

Cabin

Rating: 5.0

I never did find
the house in the wood

it was only a dream
not quite understood

the peace I desired
somewhere in a dell

was illusive as fog
like a final farewell

a shelter from worry
where there is no pain

a place with no fear
of the storm or the rain

the years are a teacher
and soon I will know

that sturdy wood cabin
I sought long ago
