Call God Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Call God

Rating: 5.0

Call God lets see if he won't display
Nor run to our own rescue
After bowing in honour of His name
Why won't all we asked for come true?

If truly His path we don't deviate
In times of trial and when tempest tour
How then would He pay deaf ear when we pray
Or be silent to our daily call

Though many come to Him aggravate
Waiting till their miracle is assured
Both the ones strong or weak in faith
Are all here to get one or two things resolved

The ones who seek for a large portion of wealth
And the ones whose intent is to survive
The ones who aren't sure of their health
And the ones whose rights are deprive

Call God lets see if He won't display
Despite the expectations seated in our heart
As many for long roaming in dismay
And the ones still nursing several harm

Despite what that kept us behind
With God we would be free if we know the one we serve
It always start by telling Him all we've got in our mind
Not just when His servant instruct us to fast.
