You stay with him hoping he'll change
From the twisted darkness and nasty beliefs
To become filled with some kind of holy white light
That loves you deeply no matter what
That treasures you with heart felt affection.
But he is an evil narcissist: maybe not a psychopath
But he will simply never change
He will always quickly fill with rage
But this is not to be confused with
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
He learnt his narcissism as a coping mechanism
He learnt as a child to be selfish
He learnt emotions got in the way
He learnt to make every day a miserable day
He learnt to manipulate with his egocentric way.
Perhaps one day he'll turn his attitude around
Perhaps one day he'll be affectionate and proud
Perhaps one day he'll never again feel down
Perhaps one day he'll consider your feelings
Perhaps one day all the anger will disappear.
But I don't see that day happening
You could lower your expectations
You could accept him as he is
Without expecting a reward of affection
You could just accept your lot in life.
So maintain your close friendships and social life
Find other ways to fulfill your personal life
Never ask him to care deeply for you
And know you have chosen to stay with him
And that your relationship will never become better.
