I watch the snow fall, bright and white,
Lit aflame by ardent candlelight.
A wintry present from Heaven's hand,
Fading into the darkened night.
Pondering many a' thing, I quickly stand,
Staring across this ice-strewn land.
The beauty of nights like this often fills,
Me with peace I barely understand.
Come what conquers, come what kills,
If evil strikes and destroys the still,
I pray I'll remember the calm of tonight,
And always see God's kindly will.
I watch the snow fall, bright and white,
Lit aflame by ardent candlelight.
Even if tonight were to be my final sleep,
I shan't regret this striking sight.
