Capricorn Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Capricorn

Capricorn

I am child of winter
Therefore, I remember
My parents were farmers.

I am like burned kettle
In the mouth of fire
Being licked by flames.

Constantly I recall
The past life in plains.

Parents were hard workers
Divided four seasons
For their work and for rest.

Either one was rich of
Hope, dream and effort;
Constantly, permanent.

Three months of the rest
Were away from the
March to the December.

Equinox was Noruz
And time to celebrate.

Guess that is the time when
Dad could find my mother
And I was planted…

Being born in winter
Free was my mother
To feed me with breast;
Her milk was nutritious
And it was delicious…

I crawled by summer
Or the time for harvest.

The rest of my life is
A farmer's history…
