Caroline Elizabeth CookMcLain, I Am So Sorry
I Love You Too, Young and Beautiful
In the curve of the tide, in the sun's warm glow,
Caroline, your name sails on whispers low.
Oceans rise, they dip and sway,
Echoing words I can't fully say.
The moon casts its light on the rolling sea,
Soft as the way your love finds me.
Young as dawn, wild and true,
I'm sorry, my heart reaches out to you.
Waves rush forward, their arms open wide,
Carrying the love I tried to hide.
The sky is boundless, the ocean deep,
For every wound, there's love we keep.
Caroline, I'm here, with waves that mend,
With sun and moon that never end.
Forgive the shadows, the days we miss,
Here's all my love, wrapped in ocean's kiss.
Young and beautiful, we sail on,
Through tides and storms until they're gone.
Hold my heart as the waves will do—
I love you, Caroline, forever true.
