Cat Poem by Annie Janine

Cat

Rating: 5.0

For Frankie (1992 - 2007)

Snowflakes chase each other
through the sky
as she takes her
last breath
shiny black
eyes close
I stroke her fur
for the last time

they say
she was a very
old cat

This is a wonderful tribute. Your opening lines are wonderful - the contrast of the moving snowflakes to the stillness of the dying cat paints a sad picture. Lovely piece of work. S :)
