Catch A Star Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Catch A Star

‘I will catch a star and
Place in my book'
Said the Poet-Seer

It was night
And the populace wondering
Said:
‘How can you catch the stars
When
So small stature you be? '
And some smiled.

‘The tongue of the Poet-Seer
Roams everywhere
Anytime
Does magic more than magic
If the Poet Seer so wills'

‘See Hesperus away, I will call on it
But in my verses'

Stopped
The populace and said not word.
