It has still held the sway
Nothing has gone away
The folk songs are blaring
People are still caring

Even though it has glamour
And long history to remember
We still go after celebration
Old or young feel so much of elation

Even though northern states go in
When winter has set in
The Gujarat has its own tradition
Each year brings new message with addition

Still village people
And city population too
Celebrate with fun fare
Where cast does not come to fore

This is only festival
That brings joy and happiness on its arrival
Even though it has scientific reason
The attachment remains purely personal
