Chained By Love Poem by Mario, Lucien, Rene Odekerken

Chained By Love

Chained by love,
a weight both heavy and tight,
it pulls, it anchors,
a tether to the unseen depths of another soul.

No key fits the lock,
yet there is no desire for escape.
The chains hum softly with the melody of touch,
each link forged in shared breaths and unspoken promises.

It binds not the body,
but the spirit---
a bond neither cruel nor kind,
just is.

Freedom dissolves into the rhythm of two heartbeats,
and the world narrows to the space
between two entwined hands.

In the silence of this captivity,
there is fullness.
In the weight,
there is flight.
