Chameleon Poem by Patrick Kemspke

Chameleon

It's not intentional -
I'm just a boat with no anchor.
A ship lost at sea.

And when I find a port
I take on the culture,
Become part of the landscape,
Till I'm no longer new and interesting
But bland and ordinary.

The pirate becomes pedestrian.

And so she loses interest
And I set off again
To find another dock
In another harbor
In another sea
With another background
To blend in to.
