Changes - Poem by Chel sea

The first cut, oh no look how deep
The blood now is starting to seep
Taking the edge off from the pain I feel
It's actually making my pain real
A coping mechanism just for now
I'll end it, once i figure out how
Imprisoned within myself, serving a life sentence
The bars, are the scars i'm left with, no need for repentence
Becuase I've gone too far and I dont know how to stop this
Why did i change, oh how the old me i miss
Hiding away and hiding the pain inside
My favorite pastime now is to hide
Never want to stop, never see me stopping from making these scars
I used to want to break free but now I dont care if I'm behind these bars
The blood now on the floor
I dont see me ever being who i was before....
That's how i used to live my life
But how I've turned around to end the strife
I have made due with the scars I'm left with today
It used to bother me, but I cant keep running away
There was no reason to go that far
But I'll always remember that 1st scar
On my wrist it'll always be
Though it will be there, it's not the only part of me
I have found meaning in this life only through the One above
If He can help me, He can help you with His love
I'll never go back, even though each day is a constant struggle for me
I fight myself everday knowing that's not who I want to be
A brand new girl changed inside and out
It was only through Him who got me out, no doubt
I'll always be grateful I didnt die
But even grateful that I finally have a reason WHY!
