........
Did you hear about
Mr. Charlie Buggle's Masterpiece?
He shipped it from Amsterdam
Piece by piece by piece.
It took twenty-two years
And a month,
And a week.
And he's unwrapping
The very last stone
As we speak.
It has a blue drawbridge,
A moat,
And a mire.
An old trampoline.
A washer,
And dryer.
A barbican used
Just a touch
There and here,
And a pinball machine,
In dire need of repair.
There is a town gate
And an Arsenal Tower,
A Grandfather Clock
That is missing
An hour,
Parapet walks
Over here,
And right there,
And a battle axe
Resting atop
A lawn chair.
It has a donjon
Or two,
A Portcullis,
And a keep.
Some old,
Rusty chains,
That he snaggled
Dirt cheap.
It has battlements,
Axes,
A Crossbow,
And more!
Chain male,
And Cannons!
About sixty-four.
A middle bailey,
And a round
Mural Tower,
And a Postern
Complete,
With its own
Carrion Flower.
A suit of armor,
Or three,
All battle bruised.
And a sharp guillotine,
Ever slightly used.
Call it what you will,
He's as proud
As can be,
A masterpiece such as this
You do not often see.
It is his chef-d'oeuvre,
And it's one of a kind.
All shipped from Amsterdam,
One piece at a time.
