Child Poem by Vera Sidhwa

Child

Child

The child played with his toys.
They played all girls and boys.
But even when there was no noise,
The children played on happily.

He saw the childhood in him.
He ran and jumped in
The playground in his mind.
It became the playground in his now.

He played and played and played.
Others looked around at him and said.
We're missing the fun out right.
And they played and got rid of their plight.
