Childhood

CHILDHOOD

The period in life for a being is its playful childhood,
Fearless careless thoughtless tangled oft misunderstood;
Living in a world of its own like a prancing young mare,
Needs a gentle training hand to mold it right with care.

Spirited and springy they are they make a lot of fuss,
Running round in circles sometimes making you cuss;
They have a lot of calories to burn at each and every turn,
Teach them proper and gently as they are quick to learn.

Childhood is a period when kid roll in the gravel,
Springing high on the lawn knowing not its level;
Childhood is a time when a kid has no fear,
It's a time they trip and fall to shed a lot of tear.

Give a child a caring hand to grow in the coming years,
Treat them with love and care they are your little dears;
Let it revel in its own world as it's their nature,
It's the way to strengthen their limbs and build their features.

The one who checks a child at play displaying anger and terror,
Creates doubts in a child's mind and so commits a mighty error;
Childhood is a period of play never fear it,
Never curb it with barriers and break a child's spirit.
Try not to dam a flowing river hoping to stop its flow,
Onward it is certain to go like a child that would grow;
Childhood is like a fountain that spill in the sand,
It's flow of water drenching the parched and withered land.

Childhood is like a plant with strong and stout roots,
To let it bloom its flowers trim and train its shoots;
Leaves and twigs could easily be folded,
Childhood in this manner could easily molded.

Childhood is a time in games you get hurt,
You slink home with dirt on your shirt;
Silently and stealthily your mom's gaze you miss,
But at bedtime you creep to her for the nightly kiss.

The memories of Childhood sweet and sometimes sour,
Makes you blossom like a rare orchid flower;
It's a feeling you get like you had a shower;
The thoughts of Childhood I wish I could recover.
