Childhood Love Poem by Julius Lenaiyarra

Childhood Love

Rating: 5.0

Vivid memories erupt
Of decades gone like yesterday
For childhood love
As wrinkled faces stare each other
Reviving the long forgotten love
Of gone days

You call in the night
I came to you
gently pressing my lips to yours
Your desire whispered in my ears
Your pleas clinging to my soul
Like fiery views
And each time your body brushes mine
I taste a bit of heaven
As we fold each other
Into the warmth of our hands
We scale heights that are great to fathom
And after use gently wind down
The ecstacy of being together
And the quiet nights shared

Grey haired and wrinkle faced
Walking back bent
Youthful memories you erupt
Of love shared
Five decades seeming yesterday
With youthful pictures
Preserved in old age.
