Childlike Wonder Poem by Mia Bird

Childlike Wonder

What's over here?
I want to see
What are you hiding?
If I climb the tallest tree what will I see?

I am just a child
going through my life
every day is an adventure
there's no such thing as strife

Drawing my green giraffe
not bothering to stay in the lines
let's look in this treasure chest
I wonder what I'll find

Adventure is everywhere
curiosity is the key
the sky is the limit
no idea what waits for me

Here comes the notes of sadness
leaving this behind
Growing up and watching people try to destroy
trying to make you stay in the lines

no matter
I don't have to allow
For everyone is a child at heart
It's just up to us to follow

Wow an awesome poem on the fun and innocence of childhood and when we leave these two traits we become selfish and uncaring. You express the kids world in a joyful poetic way it delights and makes us reminisce childhood. I was sich a tree climber ah .Kudos Plz pleez do read my newest poem titled, " Babies cry anywhere
