The dictators have, all through the history, ignored the wailing of the poor and the wretched. Le Miserable depicts this skilfully. Continues even today. While putin is inflicting deaths and misery in Ukraine, does he not see the deaths of his own people? He sees, but ignores.
Putin, and other tyrants, haven't learned the positive, peaceful lessons of Andropov during The Cold War. Had Putin been in power at that time, he would have started WWIII!
