Children Of Our Time Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Children Of Our Time

Rating: 5.0

Equal rights ‘n opportunities
Equal status with you and I
Enjoyed and relished by all
Grossly denied of, to her world

Being a human outcast
of the clone ‘n clan of hers
Destitute, she was made
by her contemporaries

Dropped off as worthless
Ignored by peers, befall
Abused by the privileged
All what she has inherited

Shoulder bag she carries
sans love, only a burden
She begs of the world, loud
Only Fairness ‘n justice, in life

This is very thought provoking poem and sadly we feel her grief of not getting equal rights. World's drama is very mysterious brought up by human beings today. Very, very amazing poem really.10

A sadly poignant point, Jayatissa. This world is not fair
