Choklit Fires Poem by Ana Podarevska

Choklit Fires

Rating: 5.0

they took away my choklit fires
tormented touches, needless desires.
i told you, i told you that you would expire.
sugar tease, he can't please
indulgence dances hypnotising trances
somber grins on plates served to us by saints.
tormented touches, needless desires.
i told you, i told you your love would expire.

[inspired by Marilyn Manson, Spooky Kids era.]

Again, I feel the obsession with the occult in your work and yet this one has a more poetic delivery - more like the lyrics of a song. The rhymes work well and the repetition the 'I told you' line gives a pleasing shape to this darkly penned piece. love, Allie xxxx
