where will pilgrimage route meander run
on tarmac hot steaming under Summer sun
where heat waves horizon siren call last
soul dimensional freedom riders astride
chopper motorcycles riding against surreal
backgrounds distorted skylines wild colourful
images echoing freedom call haunting open road
riding night sky stars riding red fingernail dawn
riding red-dust realm sunset sphere desire murky
in wheel spinning world imaginative mist mind
riding approaching exploring a Sea Incarnadined
in pinkish flesh out beyond frontier red-dust realm
where sound muscle throbbing pride of iron is undone
by weak acid and salt etched time; eternity is free
to stretch toward an infinity of possibilities unbothered
by metabolic nuclear waste sludge as firebird is birth born
unblemished from tar pit petroleum choking lake of fire

Against the garish light of a smoke-reddened sunset, the thrill of their collective advance rumbles in the gut.
